Fashion show and charity run help to beat pancreatic cancer

The Ninewells Cancer Campaign was delighted to receive a very generous donation on behalf of the Alexander family to support research into pancreatic cancer. The cheque was presented by Mr Robert Alexander whose wife Elizabeth had sadly passed away from the disease. The money was raised by Mrs Helen Murray who had organised a charity fashion show at Coldside Parish Church in October, as well as organising a charity 5K walk/run with family and friends of Elizabeth at Camperdown Park. The money will be used to support research into Pancreatic cancer currently being undertaken by Dr Paul Newey, a researcher and clinician at Ninewells Hospital & Medical School and University of Dundee. Dr Newey and Lady Fraser are pictured receiving the donation on behalf of the Ninewells Cancer Campaign from Mr Alexander and Mrs Murray.
